Every now and again, I will dig in to scripture to see what the Bible has to say about a certain topic. I have gathered these posts all together on this page in hopes that it might be helpful to someone. After all, the only thing that matters regarding any topic is: WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY?
My opinion doesn’t matter. Your opinion doesn’t matter. Your pastor’s opinion doesn’t matter. Nor does your favorite author’s, celebrity speaker’s, or family member’s. While opinions can be helpful–especially those of people who know the Word better than we do–all things must be tested by scripture. Does this opinion line up with what the Bible says?
In the past twenty-five years or so, we’ve been told that you can’t really know what scripture teaches. That it is up to the reader to interpret what they think it is saying. But this just isn’t true. By using proper hermeneutics (method of Biblical Interpretation), the Bible is both clear and consistent in its message. In fact, so much so, that the more we study it, the more it is confirmed that the Bible is truly the VERY WORD OF GOD.
So my goal in the following posts is to give just an overview on what the Bible says about the following topics. I’d recommend further study if you want a deeper understanding. But I hope these give you a starting point as you search out the scriptures for understanding.
