Tolerance: A Lesson in Vocabulary

My daughter wrote the following about the Chik-Fil-A controversy going on.  It is such a logical and thoughtful post, I wanted to share it with my readers.  

By now, I’m sure you all know about the uproar surrounding the recent statement by Chik-Fil-A’s President in support of the Biblical definition of marriage. This has sparked some controversy, to state it mildly, as many outraged citizens have decided to no longer support the restaurant and also have decided to let the entire world know about it via Facebook, Twitter, or blog posts. And I just keep seeing the same word pop up over and over and over again. Tolerance. “Chik-fil-A isn’t tolerant” and similar statements have been continually repeated.

Does anyone even know what the definition of tolerance is? If no, then allow me:
